GRIS HALVA





















Ingredients:
  • 8 tbs of Semolina Flour 
  • 8tbs of sugar
  • 2cup of milk
  • 100g of butter 
  • 1 tablespoon of Vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon
  • Crushed nuts
  • Lemon peels 1ts
Instructions:

  1. In a separate saucepan heat up the butter and add semolina - do it over medium heat so you don't burn the semolina. Simmer non-stop for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Once the semolina is done (it will turn to golden brown), add sugar and cinnamon and the lemon peels. 
  3. Than start adding it to milk as you simmer to make sure there are no clumps. You will know that it is ready once it starts separating from the saucepan.
  4. Once it is done, place the semolina in a baking sheet, and add the nuts on top. 
  5. Wait when it is cool and then cut into pieces and serve.
