YEAST CAKE by Dorota

















Ingredients: 
250g plain flour 
30g fresh yeast
80g butter 
3/4 cup of milk
4 egg yolks 
7-8 tablespoons sugar 
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar 
a handful of raisins 
a pinch of salt

1. Heat the milk, pour off 1/4 cup and the rest of milk to boil. To the boiling milk, add 1 cup of flour. Shake vigorously and set aside to cool.
2. Take: yeast, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 tbsp flour and warm milk (1/4 cup), make a slurry and set aside in a warm place until double.
3. Melt the butter and let cool. 
4. The already cold, brewed flour, add the yeast overgrown and knead thoroughly. Set aside in a warm place for about 15 minutes. At that time, mix yolks with the sugar, and vanilla sugar.
5. Take grown dough, add beaten egg yolks, a pinch of salt and mix thoroughly, add remaining flour and add the melted butter. At the end, add raisins and thoroughly mix into the dough.
6. Put dough into a greased and sprinkled with flour or bread crumbs form and let stand for 30 minutes.
7. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 180C. Bake about 40 minutes.
8. After baking, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar or pour icing sugar or chocolate souce.
